Anderson Joins Hancock County Harbor and Harbor Commission – Picayune Item
FOUR, Miss. – The Hancock County Harbor and Harbor Commission (HCPHC) recently hired Maureen Anderson as a project manager to help grow its economic development team.
“We are delighted to have Maureen’s energy and public sector experience with us at Hancock County Port and Port,” said CEO Bill Cotter. “Her knowledge of grant writing and contract management will make her a valuable member of the team as we work to expand the opportunities in Hancock County.”
In his role, Anderson will oversee federal and state grants for capital improvements at Stennis International Airport, Port Bienville Industrial Park and Port Bienville Shortline Railroad. She will also oversee contracts with consultants, engineers and contractors.
A native of Hancock County, Anderson previously served as a grants administrator for the Hancock County Board of Supervisors. Previously, she worked as a paralegal for the law firm of Brehm Bell, a grant consultant for Gouras town planning, and acting city clerk for Waveland.
She is a 2019 graduate of Leadership Hancock County and has served on the Steering Committee for the past three years. She also sits on the Mississippi Arch Board of Directors. She lives in Hancock County with her husband and their three children.
