LONDON – Field Solutions Holdings Limited (ASX:FSG), Australia’s leading rural and regional telecommunications operator, has been appointed OneWeb Channel Partner in Australia, providing high throughput, low latency LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite services from OneWeb to rural, regional, and remote Australia.

In mid-2021, FSG announced that it had won projects under the Commonwealth Mobile Blackspot Project, which will see FSG build and test Australia’s first neutral host mobile network. This project, which will be tested in northern New South Wales and southern Queensland, will also demonstrate the ability of OneWeb’s LEO satellite technology as an enabler for 5G deployment in rural and remote areas.
